Agreement to Submit Information

Why submit information?

Please take a few minutes to read this agreement – your cooperation is appreciated.

By the act of electronically submitting your research or other material or resource (the “Resource”) to the Civil Society E-Library (“CSE”) you agree to these terms and conditions.

Honest representation:

  • You will disclose your true identity and not impersonate anyone else or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone else.
  • You warrant that you are the sole author or co-author or owner or publisher or authorised staff member of the organisation-owner of the Resource and have the authority to enter into this agreement.
  • By submitting the Resource to the CSE you indicate that you have full rights to send the Resource and that its publication on the CSE will not violate or infringe the rights of any third party, including but not limited to rights in copyrights, trademarks etc.
  • You will not upload, post, e-mail or otherwise transmit any Resource that you do not have the right to transmit under any law (such as inside information, confidential information or information contained in nondisclosure agreements)

Financial disclosure:

  • You will disclose if you or a family member have any financial interest connected to the Resource.
  • You understand you will not receive any compensation from the CSE for the Resource you are submitting.

E-library rights

  • You grant the CSE the right to electronically publish and distribute the Resource after a 10 day vetting period.
  • The CSE reserves the right to change or modify all or any part of this Agreement at any time, effective upon publishing.
  • You understand that submission of the Resource to the CSE does not guarantee that the Resource will appear on the CSE and the CSE has no obligation to publish your submitted Resource.
  • We may delete or suspend the Resource at any time without notice to you.

Information integrity

  • You confirm that the Resource is based on factual information and/or rigourous research.
  • You will not submit any Resource that is defamatory, libelous, obscene or in violation of any law.
  • You will not submit any Resource that contains any form of computer virus or other computer code designed to interrupt or destroy computer equipment or software.

Legal responsibilities

  • You will not violate any laws by submitting this Resource.
  • You agree to indemnify the CSE, its volunteers, staff, governance group or funders from and against all claims or damages, including reasonable legal fees resulting from any violation of this agreement by you.
  • You will not enter into any other agreements which may come into conflict with the rights granted to the CSE regarding the Resource.

Submit Information:

Those wishing to submit documents are asked to complete the form to ensure transparency and full disclosure regarding authorship.  This is a simple, free process and helps us to ensure that information is from credible sources.
